Seneca Polytechnic Ontario Hosts Meet and Greet Event in Jaipur, India, with President David Agnew

Seneca Polytechnic, Ontario Canada organised a Meet and Greet Event on November 15th, 2024 at the ITC Rajputana, Jaipur, on the occasion of the visit of Seneca President David Agnew to India.



The event featured a talk from President David Agnew focusing on the future of International Education in Canada and the plans of Seneca Polytechnic to support international students. The event was attended by academicians, industry stakeholders, and Seneca recruitment partners from across India, Bhutan and Canada.


"We stand at the forefront of global building efforts, offering a unique blend of academic rigor and career-focused training," stated Agnew During his keynote presentation, "The Next for Seneca Polytechnic". He added "Our model represents the best of both college and university education, creating a three-pillar system alongside traditional universities and colleges"



Prashant Srivastava, Director, Regional Business Development at Seneca Polytechnic, highlighted the institution's impressive global reach, serving 45,000 full-time students across more than 300 programs, with a diverse community representing 150 nationalities. 


Nagasarath Pandurangi, Seneca’s International Business Development Manager for South Asia will spearhead efforts to strengthen partnerships across India, Bhutan, and beyond. During his address, he mentioned, “South Asia is a vital region for Seneca’s global strategy." He added,” We aim to empower students with transformative learning opportunities that prepare them for career success in an increasingly interconnected world.”


Renata D’Innocenzo, Seneca’s Vice-President of Strategy and Brand, said “It was an honour to be in Jaipur to meet with our partners from India and beyond. Now, more than ever, it’s essential for us to maintain these strong partnerships, working together to support students whether they want to study in their home country or in Canada, and exploring opportunities in executive training to strengthen the skills and experience of employees in a variety of industries."

David Agnew became Seneca Polytechnic’s fifth president in 2009. Under his leadership, Seneca has continued to strengthen its reputation at home and abroad, forging new partnerships in industry and higher education, developing new programs, growing enrolment and making substantial investments in technology, teaching and spaces.

Prior to joining Seneca, Agnew held leadership positions in public, private and non-profit sectors, including as Secretary to the Cabinet in the Ontario Government, Principal Secretary to the Premier, President/CEO of UNICEF Canada, Principal at Digital 4Sight, Executive Vice-President and Corporate Secretary for the Credit Union Central of Ontario and Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments. He started his career as a reporter in Toronto, St. John’s, Ottawa and Edmonton.
