The Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) recently organized a webinar in collaboration with India's Assam Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC). The webinar aimed to highlight investment opportunities for Canadian companies in Assam.

The Managing Director of AIDC, Manvendra Pratap Singh gave a presentation, emphasizing the importance of Canada to the state of Assam. This webinar was a direct follow-up of the ICCC’s India Mission earlier this year. The AIDC presentation provided a detailed overview of the potential of Assam, India, and its central role in the region.
AIDC elaborated on Assam's infrastructure and human potential, as well as the various incentives available to Canadian companies in sectors such as Food Processing, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Handloom, and Tourism.
Manvendra Pratap Singh also highlighted the strategic advantage of Assam being India’s gateway to ASEAN Countries and Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, offering infrastructure and logistics support.

During the webinar, the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce discussed the Chamber’s efforts to showcase investment opportunities for Canadian companies in India. ICCC President Chirag Shah delivered the opening remarks. ICCC’s Board Members Jayesh Menon, Mukesh Narula, and Advisory Board Chair Kam Rathee were in attendance.

The webinar was held in coordination with the Montreal Chapter of the ICCC, with Chair Niraj Gautam and Vice-Chair Marina Khassanova in attendance. The webinar was moderated by Corporate Secretary Prashant Srivastava. The webinar concluded with a mutual agreement to further explore investment opportunities in India.
