Invest Cyprus Hosts Successful Roundtable at Taj Palace, New Delhi.

Invest Cyprus hosted a highly successful roundtable event at the Taj Palace in New Delhi, drawing a distinguished audience from India’s business and investor community. The gathering was organized to showcase Cyprus as a burgeoning technology and investment gateway into the European Union.



Evagoras Vryonides, High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to India, welcomed the esteemed guests with warm and engaging remarks. He emphasized the critical importance of ongoing collaboration and building robust partnerships between Cyprus and India. Viraj Kulkarni, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Cyprus in Mumbai, also addressed the attendees, highlighting the significance of this strategic engagement.


Marios Tannousis, CEO of Invest Cyprus, delivered a compelling presentation on Cyprus’s role as a strategic entry point to the EU for Indian businesses and investors. He outlined Cyprus’s unique advantages as an optimal location for living, working, and conducting business. In addition, Nicodemos Damianou, PhD, Deputy Minister for Research, Innovation & Digital Policy, and Demetris Skourides, Scientist for Research, Innovation, and Technology, provided insights into Cyprus’s emerging status as a dynamic hub for technology and research.



The event concluded with remarks from Chrysilios Pelekanos, President of the Cyprus India Business Association and Tax Partner at PwC Cyprus. He highlighted the advantages of establishing a business in Cyprus, particularly noting the country’s favorable tax regime.


Invest Cyprus remains committed to fostering dialogue and collaboration, attracting investment and businesses to Cyprus, and advancing the 2030 National Vision for sustainable economic development.
