"We are confident that the deliberations and interactions during The 10th India-Latin America Conclave will yield concrete outcomes, contributing to a stronger and more diversified economic relationship between Brazil, India, and the wider Latin American region." mentions Kenneth Haczynski da Nobrega, Ambassador of Brazil to India, in his message ahead of the conclave

On behalf of the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil, it is with immense pleasure and sincere goodwill that I extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes for the successful convening of the 10th CII India-Latin America Conclave. This significant gathering serves as a vital platform for fostering deeper economic engagement and exploring collaborative avenues between India and the dynamic nations of Latin America.
Brazil deeply values its multifaceted relationship with India, a strategic partner with whom we share a commitment to democratic values, inclusive growth, and a multipolar world order. Our partnership transcends mere economic transactions; it is rooted in a shared history of South South cooperation and a mutual aspiration for a more equitable and prosperous global landscape. The India-Latin America Conclave, now in its tenth iteration, highlights the enduring importance India places on strengthening these vital connections.
We have witnessed with great satisfaction the consistent growth and deepening of economic ties between Brazil and India. Trade between our two nations remains robust, positioning India as one of Brazil’s main global trading partners and underscoring the significant economic complementarity that exists between our large and diverse economies.
Given the sheer size and inherent diversity of our respective economies, coupled with the encouraging surge in business interactions we are currently observing, the Brazilian government harbors a strong conviction that our bilateral trade is poised for continued expansion and, crucially, for significant diversification in the years to come. We believe that by actively exploring new sectors for collaboration, fostering technological exchange, and promoting joint ventures, we can unlock the full spectrum of our economic potential.
Indeed, we are currently experiencing an unprecedented level of mutual interest from Brazilian and Indian economic stakeholders. The tangible evidence of this burgeoning engagement is reflected in the remarkable number of business missions exchanged between our countries. In the preceding eighteen months alone, Brazil has sent an impressive total of 64 delegations to India, encompassing a wide range of sectors and interests. The Brazilian delegation to this event, with around 40 people, is the largest one yet to an India-LAC Conclave, underscoring both the importance of the Conclave and the booming interest of Brazil for India.
This vibrant exchange is not solely driven by governmental initiatives. We are witnessing a concerted effort from multiple actors on both sides. Central and state governments are actively promoting trade and investment opportunities, while dynamic chambers of commerce and influential business associations are playing a crucial role in facilitating connections and fostering dialogue. This multi-layered engagement underscores the genuine appetite within our business communities to explore and capitalize on the synergies that exist between Brazil and India.
In this context, we recognize the pivotal role played by institutions such as the Confederation of Indian Industry. Business, at its core, is often about connecting with the right individuals and understanding the nuances of different markets. Organizations like CII serve as invaluable bridges, effectively identifying potential synergies, facilitating crucial introductions, and ultimately leveraging reciprocal interests to cultivate new and mutually beneficial business opportunities. Their efforts in fostering networking, disseminating information, and building trust are instrumental in translating goodwill into tangible economic outcomes.
The 10th India-Latin America Conclave provides a timely and crucial platform to further amplify these positive trends. It offers a unique opportunity for businesses, policymakers, and thought leaders from India and Latin America to converge, exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and chart a course for enhanced economic cooperation. We are confident that the deliberations and interactions during this Conclave will yield concrete outcomes, contributing to a stronger and more diversified economic relationship between Brazil, India, and the wider Latin American region.
The Brazilian government remains steadfast in its commitment to strengthening its partnership with India and fostering closer ties with the nations of Latin America. We believe that through sustained dialogue, collaborative initiatives, and a shared vision for a prosperous future, we can unlock the immense potential that lies within our collective economic strengths. We look forward to witnessing the fruitful outcomes that will undoubtedly emerge from this important gathering.
