On Thursday 21st November, for the first time a 24-member Austrian delegation visited Greater Noida. Amid hopes for investment in Uttar Pradesh, officials from Noida, Greater Noida, Yamuna Authority, and Invest UP made presentations on available resources and government policies to the delegation.
The delegation expressed interest in investing in tourism, startups, skill development, research, drones, and technology. Rajya Sabha MP Mithilesh Kumar Kataria was also present as the chief guest during this event. The 24-member delegation, led by Manfred Pletzer, Vice President of the Tyrol Economic Chamber of Austria, was on a three-day visit to India. The delegation was here to explore investment opportunities for Austrian investors in areas like tourism, startups, skill development, research, drones, and technology.
After visiting Bengaluru, the delegation arrived in Greater Noida on Thursday. A meeting with the delegation was held at the JP Resort in Greater Noida, where officials from the Austrian Embassy were also present. On behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government, officials from Noida, Greater Noida, Yamuna Authority, and Invest UP participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Rajya Sabha MP Mithilesh Kumar Kataria, with Greater Noida Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar, ACEO Soumya Srivastava, ACEO Prerna Singh, YEIDA CEO Shruti, OSD Shailendra Bhatia, Noida CEO Sanjay Khatri, Anirudh Kshatriya from Invest UP, Preeti Srivastava from UP Tourism, DP Singh from ASSOCHAM UP, and other officials taking part.
In the meeting, each official from Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Authority, as well as Invest UP, gave a presentation. In his presentation, Greater Noida Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar highlighted that Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state in India and has vast opportunities in fields like agriculture, education, startups, technology, and tourism. He pointed out the tourism potential in Mathura, Kashi, and Ayodhya and focused more on the infrastructure of Greater Noida. He outlined the various expressways connecting Greater Noida, the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, data centers, knowledge hubs, and the Greater Noida Master Plan 2041 to the delegation.
The delegation expressed great satisfaction with all the presentations. In his address, Rajya Sabha MP Mithilesh Kumar Kataria emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a developed India. He praised the working of the state government and the Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Authorities.
The delegation appreciated the infrastructure here and expressed a desire to invest, cooperate, and work together in the areas of tourism, startups, skill development, research, drones, technology, and more, including through joint ventures. During lunch, the delegation praised Indian cuisine. The event was conducted by ACEO Prerna Singh and concluded by ACEO Soumya Srivastava. GM Planning Leenu Sehgal, OSD Naveen Kumar Singh, and other officials were also present at the event.
