Manish Chauhan, Ambassador of India to Portugal (since January 2021), has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Amb. Manish Chauhan is a career diplomat, and has been on several diplomatic assignments, including formal postings in Indian Missions in Beijing, Tehran & Hong Kong.
He has also served in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi in different capacities handling responsibilities related to neighborhood, external publicity, West Asia & North Africa Division, Administration & Personnel, Right to Information and Multilateral work.
