New Delhi - (4th July) India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar's visit to Qatar on June 30th unveiled a promising new chapter in bilateral relations. Amid global geopolitical shifts, this visit underscored the commitment of both nations to deepen their partnership, highlighting key areas such as economic collaboration, energy security, and defense cooperation.

"I had a wonderful meeting with HH Sheikh Thani. We reviewed the full range of India-Qatar relations and discussed ways to deepen cooperation in various sectors. India and Qatar ties are growing stronger and stronger," Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said after meeting Sheikh Thani in February.

Qatar is a crucial energy partner for India, and the visit emphasized the importance of this relationship. Discussions included the supply of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and exploring renewable energy collaborations to ensure sustainable energy futures​
